Coastal house, Yallingup, WA 6282 This luxurious 295 square meter weekend house for a Perth family is located on a bush block with ocean views 10km from the Yallingup township. The single story house has three bedrooms, 2 with ensuites, a study, large open plan living and kitchen area, laundry, alfresco and verandah running the length of the house. The design features a central cedar lined pitched roof over the glass encased entry and alfresco areas. The verandah is built from recycled bridge timbers and a spiral staircase from the alfresco allows access to a deck above the central expressed porte cochere. North East windows provide solar access to insulated internal brick walls and concrete for thermal mass. The use of local limestone cladding, recycled timber and metal roofing connect the house to the local colours, landscape and early Australian vernacular.
